Plantar fasciitis and causes for heel pain causes have been related to a plethora of reasons. Where does the pain occur?

Plantar fasciitis pain would often be felt on the bottom of the foot, at the front part of the heel. The pain usually travels along the bottom of the foot towards the toes. In event of the ligaments of the foot bottom tightens overnight because of inflammation, you would find it difficult to put your foot on the ground in the morning and walk. It would become sore and highly painful. The tightened foot area would stretch as and when you put your weight on the foot. It would cause huge amount of pain running along the heel towards the toes. You may also suffer plantar fasciitis heel pain due to your feet being stationary for a while or doing certain activity in latter part of the day.

  1. Physical injury to the heel, arch or foot

It could occur due to excessive walking, jogging or running, which would result in injury to the foot, making it sore.

  1. Excessive exercising, standing or walking

Once you suffer from plantar fasciitis, you should not be on your feet for longer duration. It would lead to additional tearing of fascia. It would be pertinent to mention here that tearing in fascia would lead to inflammation and severe pain.

  1. Obesity or excessive weight gain

You may have gained excessive weight due to heel pain, which would be result of no or less activity or movement. Excessive weight would lead to additional stress to the plantar fascia region, resulting in plantar fasciitis pain.

  1. Uncomfortable shoes

Uncomfortable shoes could be yet another reason for heel pain. You should use decently made, good fitting rubber-heeled shoes offering better cushion for your heel.

Plantar fasciitis pain could be annoying. If not taken seriously, it may lead to disability.
